Foot pains!

July 13, 2017 Thursday

Again last night, this time after I got to bed, the foot pains started.  They didn’t stop for a long time and they woke me up a couple of times during the night.  I expect this may be happening more and more often, but we shall see.  I also had foot cramps but I finally got that to quit by getting up and eating some pickles and drinking some pickle juice – that works every time!!  When I woke up this morning, I felt pretty good and was ready for a good day.

I had a nice breakfast and spent some time pulling vines off my fence – that was not fun and it was in the sunlight!  I overdid it a little, but the fence is now mostly clear.  I arrived for my lab work at the oncologist’s office a few minutes early.  There were several bald women there and I think they looked nicer than the lady who obviously had a wig on – a really curly, red wig!!  Oh well, to each her own!!  The blood test results showed that my blood is right where it should be and so that is great.  It’s hard to believe it’s only been one week since my first chemo.  It seems like much longer than that.  Next Thursday I have lab again and then the Thursday after that, I have my second round of chemo!

I have about decided that I’m going to ask Zoe if she would like to shave my head with the clippers while I’m down there.  I think she might like it after she starts it.  There is certainly no way she can mess it up!!  I’ll get someone to do it, even if it’s me.  I expect my hair to start falling out within the next week and right now, my hair seems quite long.  It’s gotta go!!

I had a nice afternoon of reading and watching television.  I did have to do some insurance work and mailed two envelopes to the insurance companies.  I guess I’ll just send everything and let them decide what they want!!  I’m sure they’ll love that.  The company with the lump sum payment upon diagnosis has everything they need from me but they are waiting on replies from three doctors.  I sure am glad I don’t deal with insurance companies all the time.

I went to a friend’s house for pizza and to watch Casablanca.  We all had a really nice time, but the DVD would not work so we have rescheduled that part of the evening for about two weeks from now.  Now I’m looking forward to Casablanca with spaghetti!

I’ve come home and am getting ready to go to bed and the pains have already begun in my feet.  It’s actually a little earlier than usual but maybe they’ll stop soon, I hope.

I am going to Roswell tomorrow so my posting schedule may vary from the typical, but I’ll catch up on any really interesting happenings, if anything happens.  I sure am looking forward to hugging those kiddos!!

Morning weight – 211.6.
