Another wonderful, HOT, day

July 28, 2017 Friday

I slept well and woke up ready to go today.  I am still taking an aleve PM every night but I guess I just need it.  I had a nice breakfast and did a little work around the house, but not much.  I then did some sewing and I’m really enjoying working on quilts, more than usual seems like.  I did drive to Chattanooga for a little while and saw some back country roads – that was nice.  Then I got my Neulasta shot – took about 30 seconds and I didn’t have to wait 30 minutes since I had no reaction last time.

I went to Kroger to get my mouthwash the doctor ordered but they had not yet mixed it up.  I’m glad they didn’t – it would cost me more than $50 and I’m not at all sure I need it or would use it so I told them to wait on it.  If I have lots more discomfort in my mouth I’ll go back to talk about it.  I think the pharmacist can tell me how to make it for my self.

I did go to dinner with some friends at John’s BBQ – that place has some good food and I enjoyed it.  Then I came home and did more sewing.  Now, I’m tired and will be going to bed soon.

The only side effects I’ve had so far are the hot flashes.  I’ve probably had at least 10 episodes today and they are HOT flashes – fast and furious.  They only last about 4 to 5 minutes each but they are very uncomfortable.  I’ll take the last two steroid pills tonight so maybe tomorrow will be my last day of hot flashes.  Hopefully.  Course, I realize that taking the steroids prevent other side effects from happening so I really should not complain about them.

I think I mentioned that my hair has started to come out but it was not a big rush of fall out today.  If I pinch my hair in my fingertips, quite a few hairs come out very easily but I’m not going to sit and do that!!  Some people have told me that all their hair came out within two days of the start of coming out.  Maybe if I had long hair and I brushed it a lot, it might all come out quickly.  Course, it all may be gone by morning, we’ll just have to wait and see. I’ll be sure to include a “good” photo of my bald scalp when it’s all said and done!!  I know you can’t wait to see that – neither can I!!  hahaha

Morning weight – 217 My feet and ankles are quite swollen, probably from all the fluids they put in me yesterday.
