I started out the day nice and well rested and had a good morning of sewing and regular household activities. Then I mowed the grass and it looked a lot better. Then I had to rest. I think I had been kind of “high” on steroids for the last few days, but since I took no steroids this morning, they have worn off. Suddenly!!
I rested a while after mowing then went to dinner with some friends.
We had a nice time and a nice dinner, too. I really do appreciate all the kindness and cards and gifts I have received but the most important thing has been all the support from SO many people. It’s really humbling.
After I got home, I just about collapsed into my big chair with the TV remote and my iPad. I didn’t get up except to write the blog and I’m heading to bed soon.
I’ve had several vicious hot flashes but maybe they will go away tomorrow since my steroid-driven energy has gone away!! I really will miss that. I have had no nausea or foot pains or any other problems, but it’s just a guess as to when all of that will start. My hair still comes out when I pull it out, but I am not playing that game. It may be just falling out a little more than it was. It’s just a waiting game, I suppose.
I did receive a nice check from the cancer insurance policy that I thought was not going to be helpful. If you haven’t had cancer, I’d suggest looking into getting a cancer policy – they can be very helpful if you get cancer. It’s all a gamble of course.
