A tiring day

July 30, 2017 Sunday

I did not sleep well last night. I was awake from 4:30 til 7 – just couldn’t go back to sleep. At 7:00 I got up and ate some watermelon and I think that helped.  I went to sleep about 8 and woke up at 9:30 and felt a little more rested. I ate a good breakfast then went to the pool at 11:00. We had two hours of blissful water and weather and an almost empty pool. It was wonderful. I did wear a tee shirt and a hat and put 55 SPF on my face to protect from reflected sunlight off the water. My face felt a little burned later but I think it’s okay.

After the pool time, I had a nice lunch and got things organized at home, then left for Roswell. I probably should have had a nap before I left because I was not as attentive a driver as I should have been on the interstate but it turned out okay. I stopped at publix on the way in to make sure I had plenty of watermelon!!  I think that’s important to keep my systems moving like they should.

Frank and Rachel were busy with the kids (did I mention I have the most wonderful grandkids on earth?), but after lots of playing and talking we had a wonderful corned beef and cabbage dinner. I’d never tried it before but that stuff is good!!!

I am utterly exhausted. Don’t know if it was the sleepless night, the pool time, the drive, or the chemo meds but I don’t remember being this tired in a long time. I should sleep well tonight!

I have had no nausea, or foot pains or any other side effect except my mouth is quite tender. There may be a little digestive upset but maybe just too much watermelon.
