August 10, 2017 Thursday
I slept well again, that Aleve PM makes that happen I guess, and woke up ready for a good day. I fixed a good breakfast and then made it to the oncologist’s lab in plenty of time for my lab work. This time there was no problem drawing my blood, thank goodness, and the results showed that my numbers were within or very close to the normal ranges, so all is good. Next Thursday will be my third chemo treatment.
After lab, I went to Kroger and got groceries and then came home to make some vegetable beef soup. I think this rainy cool weather made me crave it and I had some for lunch – it really was good. Of course I have several more serving sizes for the upcoming days. I also got lots of peaches, bananas, and watermelon and I think I overate from the fruit but I just love those fruits!!
I spent the rest of the day working on quilt squares. I finished one and began two more that I hope to finish tomorrow. I also finished watching all the Longmire shows on Netflix – I sure am going to miss those shows. They are wonderful, gritty but wonderful.
As for how I felt today, I felt wonderful – no side effects at all. Remember the frozen pizza I had for dinner last night?? It has caused my feet and ankles to swell up quite a bit – all that salt in it does that to me. That plus all the sitting I’ve done for the last two days while I’ve sewn a lot, have really had a big impact on my feet and ankles. If it’s not back to normal in the morning, I will try drinking lots of water and doing some walking to get back to normal.
