An unusual day

August 20, 2017 Sunday

Again, I slept very well and didn’t even get up once during the night.  I think I was exhausted.  About 8, I heard the door open and in came Zoe.  A little while later, in came Coen and the day began.  We had lots of fun playing and playing and playing and playing.   After lunch, I was done.  I went to the dark bedroom and took a nap – about a three hour nap!!  I think there were kids in there sometimes but they didn’t bother me!!!

In the afternoon, I felt more energetic and we did more playing.  Frank and Rachel went out to dinner for their anniversary and I got to have the kids by myself.  We had fun and baths and I even put Coen to sleep.  He was a tired little boy.  I also fed Zoe a little ice cream and that was a mistake – talk about a jumping jack!!  I just hope she goes to sleep at some point tonight and I sure am glad I don’t have to sleep with her!!!

Nothing has tasted good today.  Not even water.  Guess I’ve been tired partly due to the chemo and Neulasta.  My lips were numb earlier but they are back to normal now.  Otherwise, I’m pretty normal, I suppose.  Normal for me, that is.

We have decided not to go north for the eclipse tomorrow and I am very relieved to avoid all of that.  I’m not interested in it anymore.  We might go outside and peek at it once or twice but that’s about it.

Morning weight – 221.2 I think I have just about quit exercising like I had been doing and I think I feel worse because of that so I need to start that again.  I am still full of chemo juice, I think.  It will take a couple more days to go away but I’m really ready for it to leave!!!
