A nice day

September 2, 2018 Saturday

I slept well last night and again woke up not coughing.  I really appreciate just calmly waking up.  I have coughed less today than yesterday and the stuff I cough up is much more liquidy than the stuff in the past.  In other words, I am improving.  I’m not well yet, but I’m much better than I was.  Sometimes my voice almost sounds normal!!!

I even mowed my yard today and then afterwards I was tired and didn’t really accomplish anything else, but at least that got done.  I’ve been watching Harry Potter movies all day today and that was nice.  Sue even came by and watched the end of the Prisoner of Azkaban – I really like that movie.

So today was a nice day and I felt pretty good.  The diarrhea continues but that’s about the only side effect that is bothering me these days.  This is the last week of the chemo cycle so it should continue to be a good week.  Thursday will be my last chemo treatment and then we will see if the chemo worked and killed the cancer.  I sure do hope it did, but if it didn’t I guess we can start another round with other chemo drugs.  Time will tell.

I plan to drive to Athens tomorrow and then go to Roswell for a few days.  That’s going to be a long drive so I bet I will be tired.  I sure am looking forward to seeing those grandkids and Frank and Rachel too, of course!!!!

Morning weight – 219  I guess I’ve gained several pounds in the last couple of weeks!!  I’m going to hate to see how much I weigh after I get all that chemo fluid in me!!
