September 5, 2017 Tuesday
I slept well last night until 6:00 and I did not take any NyQuil last night. I was awake about an hour then fell back to sleep for about 45 minutes until Coen woke me up. He’s so sweet, even first thing in the morning.
I got to take Zoë to school and that’s always fun. I love those in-the-car conversations where it’s just me and her!! They are always entertaining!!
Coen and I did a little mowing in the back yard and then later Zoë ‘helped’ us!! Then we had a nice thunderstorm and that was fun. There was a lot of excitement about lightning and thunder and the dark sky and then the rain started. It was a “toad-strangler” at least I think that’s what Sue calls them!! It was fun to watch them watch the rain!! They stayed mostly dry.
As far as side effects, I was too busy to be tired. Actually since it’s the end of this chemo cycle, I think my energy is coming back. The diarrhea was bad today. I’m really tired of that but I expect it’s nowhere near over yet. My coughing was about like yesterday which means it’s bad when I cough but I don’t cough terribly often!
Tomorrow I get to take Coen to school – that’s the first time ever for me! Looking forward to that. At some point tomorrow, I’ll head back to Dalton and get ready for the LAST chemo treatment!! Yay for that.
