September 10, 2017 Sunday
I had the best night’s sleep and the most peaceful awakening I can remember. I don’t think I awoke at all last night and just peacefully drifted awake and then back to sleep a couple of times this morning. It was wonderful. No coughing, no problem. I started coughing not long after I got up but it was at about its usual intensity so no big deal.
I had a good breakfast and then did some cutting and sewing. I felt bad all day long – just really strange. I kept getting little things done, like walking around the house and getting a few last things ready in case we really get some wind and rain from Irma, but I felt BAD. My face and lips and arms and hands were kind of numb and tingly. My digestive system and mouth felt really weird all day long too, but I fixed a grilled ham and cheese sandwich for lunch and it actually tasted good. So I did the same thing for supper!!! They were good!
I am about ready for sewing tomorrow with the Dudettes, if we are able to get into the building. Most of the school systems and the state offices have closed down for tomorrow, but we get the key to our sewing place from the county government office so hopefully that office will be open. I don’t think our weather will get very extreme, but then I certainly don’t really know what will happen. I have taken my big trash can out to the street to be picked up tomorrow – I just hope the garbage service does pick it up nice and early since I won’t be able to go sew until I bring it back to the house, just in case it does get windy tomorrow afternoon.
The most impressive thing I’ve heard is that Rachel, my daughter in law, took their trampoline apart, by herself, in preparation for the storm!!! I would never be able to do that but she did!!! That’s amazing. And I thought flipping over my patio table was impressive!!! HAHA!
I expect the weird feelings I’ve had all day long involve the chemo meds working in my body today. I’ve had some of these feelings before but they seem quite intense today. I hope they are not as intense tomorrow – they are uncomfortable. However, if this is what it takes, then so be it. At least there is no active pain, which is a real blessing.
Morning weight – 219.2 Paula brought me some homemade coconut pie, which I have really enjoyed tonight, so tomorrow’s weight will probably be more!!
