A sewing day

October 11, 2017 Wednesday

I was able to go to sleep last night without any NyQuil or any other help.  Then I slept really well and didn’t even wake up once during the night.  Problem is that I didn’t even wake up period until almost noon!!!!!  NOON!!!  That’s amazing.  Hope I can sleep tonight!  I got up and had a nice breakfast and decided to do some sewing.

I seem to have so many projects started that I can’t decide what to work on!!  I need to finish some quilts.  I spread some partially done quilts out and decided to get back to Grandma’s Kitchen.  I have altered the quilt directions so that I am making two of each of the blocks and I’m making all the blocks 12 1/2″ instead of various sizes.  I kind of like the idea of making my quilt different from all the others being made around the country or the world for that matter.  I made these blocks today:

Sorry they are turned sideways.

I did take a break as it was nearing dark to go finish mowing the back yard but evidently there is a stick stuck on the mower blade and the blade won’t move!!  So I left the mower outside the shed and I’ll call the repairman tomorrow to come get it and fix it up.  It needs servicing anyway.

The only thing I ate today after breakfast was a Tombstone pizza – it was pretty good and not nearly as salty as Pizza Hut pizzas are.  Course, it was not as wonderfully tasty as Pizza Hut pizzas either.  No diarrhea problems yet.

The only other thing I did today was put down a reservation for a cruise on the Baltic Sea for spring of 2019.  Talk about long range planning!!!  Hope it all works out.

I’ll have to get up early tomorrow because I have lab and then I meet with the surgeon for my after-surgery meeting.  I suppose he will examine the surgery sites and perhaps we will discuss radiation and if I need it or not.  Or maybe he will send the info to the radiation oncologist who will contact me later about whether I need it or not.  Then I’ll head on down to Roswell for a few days.  Sure have missed them since I haven’t seen there in almost two weeks!!!  I’ll have to be back sometime Sunday since I have to pack and get ready for the group trip to Destin.  We leave on Monday and I just can’t wait!!!

Morning weight – 222
