A piddling kind of day

August 7, 2017 Monday

I got to sleep until 8:30 this morning before Coen came in to wake me up. It was glorious.  We had a nice morning with me piddling around and playing with the kids in the playroom, those kids have such great imaginations, until lunch time. After lunch, I did some piddling around in the shop, where it sure was hot. Then I left and drove back to Dalton. I was rained on during much of the trip but I took the back roads again and it was a nice trip. After visiting Kroger, I got home and piddled around some more, accomplishing nothing basically. I did pull up some irises for a friend and that did tire me out some. If you would like some yellow Asiatic irises, just let me know. I’d love to give you as many as you want. Or day lilies too.

My side effects today were the standard ones – numb bottom lip and tongue but nothing painful. The diarrhea is still happening. The only other possible side effect is a rash that has been developing for several days but I think it may be a heat rash perhaps. I did put some Gold Bond powder on it tonight so that should help it go away. I really do not think it is related to the chemo at all but I’ll ask during Thursday’s lab.
